Pablo Vidiella was born in 1984 in Madrid, where he is currently based. Interested in arts, he decided to study Architecture, obtaining the degree in 2013. After that he moved to London, where he started working in a well-known architectural practice, having the opportunity to work in different fields and scales of architecture and design, getting in touch with technical and digital fabrication. Back in Madrid, he decided to train and focus exploring and investigating creation boundaries as a personal challenge until today. HenkaLab is an award winning studio where shape experimentation takes place. Inspired by nature, my work emulates evolutionary processes, subjecting pure geometries to certain tensions, obtaining new living forms that fit a specific use. Access Pablo Vidiella Newsroom

Shelf
Hone shelf is a timeless and magnetic design inspired by natural forms, and arises as a reinterpretation of a traditional shelf through a conceptual alteration of the physical properties of the material. In this way, the solid wood becomes elastic in a conceptual way. By doing so, the vertical supports stretch outwards isolating the horizontal planes, giving movement to the whole piece and promoting load transmission. The aim is to highlight the organic essence of the piece, its living personality and to contrast the strength of its mass with the lightness and subtle contact with the ground.

Chair
Hana Chair is an elegant piece of furniture inspired by plant nature. Like a flower, Hana blossoms into two petals as a structural and functional solution to the requirements of a chair, forming the backrest, the seat and embracing the body of the user. The material used could only be solid wood, enhancing its curves and natural beauty.

Side Table
Nikao Side Table is an elegant piece of furniture based on an evolutionary concept of circular and cylindrical geometries. These are transformed in order to adapt to a certain environment and a certain function. In this way, both utility and structure are solved maintaining the original geometrical essence of the piece, and becoming a more organic and more complex object. Nikao side table interacts with the observer in a natural way. Its magnetic shape, together with the warmth of the material, makes the user to come closer, touch it and sit next to it.
