Pelin is a Turkish product designer, born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1993 and living in Milan since 2012. In September 2015 she graduated from Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Design, where also in October 2019 she has concluded her Master's degree in Product Design for Innovation. Assemblable Chair
Lay chair is the result of the search for a new form and an alternative assembly variant for flat-pack chair designs. The chair is made by layering two complementary molded plywood parts: a seat element that fits perfectly on an "L" shaped backrest, which is then joined together on the solid wood chair structure. The main focus is given to the complementary form of the parts and the following mono-directional assembly process for a user-friendly design. The layering of the parts defines the aesthetic appearance of the chair and characterizes an effortless combination for assembly.
